Nice little tables for extra surface. May be slippery so would use with non-slip place mats. Legs are wood, bottom slightly rounded, but still wood. May scratch floors. Would hold food ok , but I wouldn't lean on it when you stand up or sit down. Rack to stack tables for storage must be assembled, about 6 pieces of wood and screws provided. I'll ask a friend to assemble it for me. Looking at the diagram, it looks like it will have to lean against a wall to hold four chairs. May be a bit overpriced. Wood surface of TV tables has a wood grain design. Even the white ones! Tables themselves just open the legs. They are already assembled!
